You Are My Tribe

If you’ve been oppressed by religion,
you are my tribe.
If your community turned on you,
you are my tribe.
If they said you were possessed, broken, cursed —
you are my tribe.
If they hated you because of your race, your nationality, your body, your mind —
you are my tribe.
If they rejected you because of your abilities — or because you loved someone they didn’t approve of —
you are my tribe.
If your own family made you feel like you didn’t belong —
you are my tribe.

And if you're in the dark right now,
if it feels like there’s no way out —
I want you to know something:

You are not alone.

I’ve come from places most people wouldn’t survive.
I’ve seen hunger. I’ve seen death. I’ve felt sickness crawl through the body and grief tear through the spirit.
I’ve been abandoned. Forgotten. Left to figure it out alone.
And no one helped me.

I know what it means to be in darkness.
Real darkness.
The kind where you forget what hope feels like.
Where silence is heavy and your own thoughts turn against you.
I’ve lived there.

I pulled myself out of the dark with nothing but my own hands.
But not everyone has that kind of strength — and you shouldn’t have to.

So if you need help — I’m here.
If you need to talk, cry, scream, or just breathe next to someone who gets it — I’m here.
No judgment. No fixing. No pity.

I don’t want anything from you.

I’m not a saint.
Not a god.
Not a therapist.
Just a human being who knows exactly how it feels to be in darkness — and how hard it is to climb out of it.
